2022 Washington Senate Primary Election Story

A head to head comparison of the 2022 Washington Primary gives us an idea of the break down of the voters.

Patty Murray received 52.26% (1M votes) beating both Tiffany Smiley who had 33.71% (646.86k votes) and Leon Lawson who had 3.08% (59131 votes) in the overall count of votes in Washington if the election were among these 3 candidates.

Tiffany Smiley wins 22 counties out of the counties in the state of Washington to support his claims of his movement in the country. Patty Murray won 17 counties and Joe Biden won just 2 counties in the state of Washington.

These 10 counties play an important role in these primary elections. If a candidate, can get a sizable majority, it becomes very difficult to win majorities in the smaller counties with out voter out reach and increased voter participation in them.

In a head to head match up on just the total number of votes, Tiffany Smiley (91.6%) beats Leon Lawson (8.4%). Patty Murray (94.4%) beats Leon Lawson (5.6%) and Patty Murray (60.8%) beats Tiffany Smiley (39.2%).

Patty Murray simply won the majority of the top 10 counties. Tiffany Smiley and Leon Lawson could not achieve a victory since Patty Murray captures so many voters across most counties.
