2022 Oregon Primary Election Story (Senate)

A head to head comparison of the 2022 Oregon Primary gives us an idea of the break down of the voters.

Ron Wyden received 52.39% (439.67k votes) beating both Jo Rae Perkins who had 13.79% (115.7k votes) and Darin Harbick who had 12.81% (107506 votes) in the overall count of votes in Oregon if the election were among these 3 candidates.

Ron Wyden wins 27 counties out of the counties in the state of Oregon to support his claims of his movement in the country. Sam Palmer won 4 counties and Joe Biden won just 2 counties in the state of Oregon.

These 10 counties play an important role in these primary elections. If a candidate, can get a sizable majority, it becomes very difficult to win majorities in the smaller counties with out voter out reach and increased voter participation in them.

In a head to head match up on just the total number of votes, Jo Rae Perkins (51.8%) beats Darin Harbick (48.2%). Ron Wyden (80.4%) beats Darin Harbick (19.6%) and Ron Wyden (79.2%) beats Jo Rae Perkins (20.8%).

Ron Wyden simply won the majority of the top 10 counties. Jo Rae Perkins and Darin Harbick could not achieve a victory since Ron Wyden captures so many voters across most counties.
