2022 Nevada Primary Election Story (Senate)

A head to head comparison of the 2022 Nevada Primary gives us an idea of the break down of the voters.

Catherine Cortez Masto received 39.69% (158.04k votes) beating both Adam Laxalt who had 31.51% (125.46k votes) and Sam Brown who had 19.31% (76882 votes) in the overall count of votes in Nevada if the election were among these 3 candidates.

Adam Laxalt wins 14 counties out of the counties in the state of Nevada to support his claims of his movement in the country. Catherine Cortez Masto won 3 counties and Joe Biden won just 2 counties in the state of Nevada.

These 10 counties play an important role in these primary elections. If a candidate, can get a sizable majority, it becomes very difficult to win majorities in the smaller counties with out voter out reach and increased voter participation in them.

In a head to head match up on just the total number of votes, Adam Laxalt (62.0%) beats Sam Brown (38.0%). Catherine Cortez Masto (67.3%) beats Sam Brown (32.7%) and Catherine Cortez Masto (55.7%) beats Adam Laxalt (44.3%).

Catherine Cortez Masto simply won the majority of the top 10 counties. Adam Laxalt and Sam Brown could not achieve a victory since Catherine Cortez Masto captures so many voters across most counties.
