2022 Illinois Primary Election Story (Senate)

Tammy Duckworth received 47.67% (652.06k votes) beating both Kathy Salvi who had 15.63% (213.74k votes) and Peggy Hubbard who had 12.82% (175359 votes) in the overall count of votes in Illinois if the election were among these 3 candidates.

Peggy Hubbard wins 75 counties out of the counties in the state of Illinois to support his claims of his movement in the country. Tammy Duckworth won 17 counties and Joe Biden won just 2 counties in the state of Illinois.

These 10 counties play an important role in these primary elections. If a candidate, can get a sizable majority, it becomes very difficult to win majorities in the smaller counties with out voter out reach and increased voter participation in them.

Tammy Duckworth simply won the majority of the top 10 counties. Kathy Salvi and Peggy Hubbard could not achieve a victory since Tammy Duckworth captures so many voters across most counties.
