2022 Colorado Primary Election Story (Senate)

A head to head comparison of the 2022 Colorado Primary gives us an idea of the break down of the voters.

Michael Bennet received 44.93% (516.95k votes) beating both Joe O'Dea who had 29.99% (345.03k votes) and Ron Hanks who had 25.07% (288465 votes) in the overall count of votes in Colorado if the election were among these 3 candidates.

Ron Hanks wins 30 counties out of the counties in the state of Colorado to support his claims of his movement in the country. Michael Bennet won 27 counties and Joe Biden won just 2 counties in the state of Colorado.

These 10 counties play an important role in these primary elections. If a candidate, can get a sizable majority, it becomes very difficult to win majorities in the smaller counties with out voter out reach and increased voter participation in them.

In a head to head match up on just the total number of votes, Joe O'Dea (54.5%) beats Ron Hanks (45.5%). Michael Bennet (64.2%) beats Ron Hanks (35.8%) and Michael Bennet (60.0%) beats Joe O'Dea (40.0%).

Michael Bennet simply won the majority of the top 10 counties. Joe O'Dea and Ron Hanks could not achieve a victory since Michael Bennet captures so many voters across most counties.
